Unfortunately, there is no cure for eczema regardless of what you may read on some internet site. Fortunately, eczema is controllable with continued daily use of products such as exederm.

exederm flare control cream is recommended for children over the age of 2 you should seek your doctors advice for younger children.

Are exederm products safe for all ethnicities?

Can I use exederm on my body as well as my face?
Yes, you can use exederm products on either face or body. But do keep away from eyes

How do I use the 3-Step System?
Step 1: Control the eczema “flare up” – Apply a small amount of exederm flare control cream to the affected area.

Step 2: Moisturize – Apply exederm intensive moisture cream at least once a day to deeply moisturize dry skin

Step 3: Gentle cleanse – Use exederm cleansing wash to gently cleanse without stripping the skin of moisture or exposing to unnecessary harsh irritants

Will exederm work with other products?
exederm cleansing wash and exederm intense moisture cream can be used as part of your everyday skin care routine and may be used with other products. If your doctor has prescribed a medication remember to always follow the instructions. We recommend that you also take the time for read the instructions on exederm flare control cream

Will exederm work if I use the products individually rather than as a system?
Yes you can use the products individually but for best results we recommend the full system to ensure that your skin care routine is free of common irritants

Why and when should I use the exederm flare control cream?
exederm flare control cream is for temporary relief of itching associated with skin irritation such as eczema or contact dermatitis for soaps, detergents or cosmetics.

You should apply not more than 3 to 4 times daily

Can I use exederm flare control cream every day?
As with all hydrocortisone creams, we do not recommend using the product every day. Instead it should be used to control eczema flare-ups.

If conditions worsens or if symptoms persist for more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days, stop use of this product and do not begin use of any other hydrocortisone product unless directed to do so by your doctor.

Can I wear make up over exederm products ?
Yes, you can still wear make up...but always check the label for common irritants and look for products that are non-comedogenic

Will exederm help with acne?
The exederm range is designed to treat dry skin conditions such as eczema rather than as a treatment for acne. However, we have formulated our range to be non-comedogenic (non-pore clogging)

Will exederm clog my pores?
No. exederm products are formulated to be non-comedogenic (non-pore-clogging).

Also called fractionated coconut oil. It is a highly refined emollient (moisturizer) that helps improve spreading of skin care formulations

Caprylyl Glycol
This is emollient base that holds the formulation's preservative system

Ceteareth-20
This is a surfactant (cleansing agent) and also acts as a solubilizing agent

Citric Acid
Citric acid is commonly known as lemon juice, it is used to adjust the Ph balance of the formulation

Decyl Glucoside
An extract from coconut oil, palm kernel oil and glucose. It has mild foaming properties

Disodium Cocoglucoside Sulfosuccinate
A natural biodegradeable surfactant (cleansing agent) derived from plants

Disodium Cocoamphodiacete
An gentle surfactant (cleansing agent) often used in baby care formulations

Glycerin
An effective natural moisturizer that can attracts moisture from the environment. Commonly used in skin creams, lotions, skin cleansers. Helps condition the skin

Glyceryl Stearate
Derived from natural stearic acid and glycerin. A popular emulsifier and emollient used in cosmetic preparations such as creams and lotions, providing stability as well as excellent texture.

Hydrocortisone
Hydrocortisone is considered by most doctors as the "gold standard" for the 1st line treatment of eczema. It is a corticosteroid that is used topically on the skin. It is a synthetic version of the naturally-occurring cortisol or hydrocortisone produced by the adrenal gland. Corticosteroids have anti-inflammatory effect to reduce itching and redness.

Palmitic Acid
Palmitic acid is one of the most common saturated fatty acids found. It is a major component of the oil from palm trees (palm oil and palm kernel oil). It is often found as an additive in dairy products.

Petroleum
Highly purified, pharmaceutical grade of white petroleum jelly

Phenoxyethanol
A mild liquid preservative with anti-microbial properties, it is paraben-free and formaldehyde-free

Sodium Benzoate
Commonly used preservative often used in foods and soft drinks

Sodium Chloride
Common salt, it is used to help balance the formulation

Stearic Acid
A long chain fatty acid that helps to harden plant derived oils, often used in the food industry

Tetrasodium EDTA
A water softening chelating agent that reacts with salts found in hard water and makes them water-soluble.

Xanthan Gum
A corn based stabilizer that keeps cosmetic ingredients from separating and helps maintain a consistent texture

How can I test for allergic reaction?
Apply a small amount of the product to the nape (back) of your neck, or to the underside of your neck at the jawline. If no redness or irritation appears, you will probably not have an allergic reaction. If redness persists, discontinue using the product. If redness continues after you have stopped using the product, consult a doctor.

Are exederm products FDA approved?
