Lanolin Free What is lanolin? This greasy, yellow substance is extracted from sheep’s wool. When purified, it is used as a base for ointments and creams. It is also used for preserving leather and as an ingredient in varnishes and paints. Lanolin is a comedogenic or pore blocking substance. Research has shown traces of animal pesticides in lower non-pharmaceutical grades of lanolin. Check the label of any of your existing products to see if they contain lanolin or wool based ingredients
We believe that there are better less irritant ingredients. We do not use lanolin
in our products. All exederm products are non-comedogenic (non pore-clogging)
“Recommendations include avoidance of irritants such as detergents, solvents, and lanolin.”
